Geotechnical engineering is the branch of engineering which deals with study or the review of the geology of the subsurface earth. It is one of the important process for the selection of the site or the selection of the foundation. These investigations are used for the design, construction of foundations and built foundations. It is the vital element for the assessment of the natural hazards, sinkholes, rockfalls and earthquake.
